General BKE ia: The company started on 9 October 2003 with the purpose to offer complete industrial automation solutions to their customers. The company is specialized in engineering, electrical installations, designing control software and accompanying the project with the necessary FDS, SDS, FAT documentation. These jobs are carried out in accordance with the European regulations regarding automation plants. The customers we serve are machine builders and sales organizations in all fields of industry. Electric installations : The electrical installation is drawn with WSCAD software and the final drawings are handed to the customer in paper format and in a digital Acrobat Reader format. During a design process the electrical drawings are evaluated and approved by the customer. Building of the electrical panels will be done at the BKE workshop. However, if the size of a project determines the need of more building capacity our third party colleagues can be involved to assist us. Cabling and wiring test situations on large scale plants are not works that can be carried out by BKE ia. Documentation Prior to all software designs the mechanical engineer and the software engineer come up with a functional description about the how's and why's of the equipment. This information will then be implemented in a FDS (functional design specification). Resulting from this FDS our software engineer will write a SDS (software design specification) witch will include detailed descriptions of the necessary code blocks that control the installation. In the same stage a project manager will create a FAT (factory acceptance test). This FAT will be send to the customer for approval. If this process has been finished, all manuals will be written based on the FDS, SDS and FAT witch then can be reviewed prior to the commissioning by the customer. Control software In general we are used to automate installations with Siemens control equipment. If necessary other control systems can be used but from our experience it is best to apply Siemens. Commercial If projects are worked out for foreign customers or if the total projects offer exceeds 10000 Euro the following policy applies on received orders: • 50% in advance (8 days) • 40% after delivery (30 days) • 10% after commissioning (30 days)
